Richard B. Cheney, an accomplished public servant and a businessman is vice president. Cheney is a recognizable figure in Washington for many years. George W. Bush was the president of the 4th generation to Cheney, who he served. Bush decided to choose Cheney as his running mate as the vice-presidential race in July 2000, citing Cheney's experience and insight. Dick Cheney served as the chief of staff for a president, was an elected Member of Congress as well as secretary of defence. It's clear that he is a true gentleman, who has the respect of both Republicans and Democrats. Cheney says he is an honest and discreet advisor to Bush in his administration. Cheney declared his delight at accepting the Republican vice-presidential nominee. He said that he is looking forward working alongside a president who will collaborate with those who have different political views and with shared goal. Richard Bruce Cheney, son of Richard Herbert Cheney & Marjorie Lauraine Dickey was born on January 30, 1941, in Lincoln Nebraska. When he was 13 years old, he relocated together with family members from Nebraska to Casper within the Western state of Wyoming and his father was the director of the local district of soil conservation for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
