Nancy O'Dell's career began in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and news reporter with WPDE-TV. Later, she was an anchor in the morning and a reporter for WCBD TV. The journalist's report on the lack of response of the police in response to DUI instances in Charleston caused an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which resulted in a new policy from state officials regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. Following her work in Charleston O'Dell was a co-anchor and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to her move to Access Hollywood as a weekend co-anchor and weekday correspondent. O'Dell is a leading anchor for Access Hollywood. In addition she has contributed to NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's reported on events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of Pre-ShowArrivals shows to The Emmys and the Golden Globes. In addition, she hosted The Miss USA pageant as well as the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
